Educational Advocate (Bilingual)

Bridgeport : Full-time

Description
Connecticut Renaissance is in search of a Educational Advocate to review and collect students’ educational history and record. Work with schools and parents to advocate for services for CYFSC clients. Keep parents and students well informed of the educational process. Serve as a team member of the CYFSC. Attend PPT, Probation, DCF, and community meetings when indicated. Continuous quality improvement participation, team development, develops and uses customer feedback, share vision; data integrity, meeting, and/or exceeding contractual requirements. Maintain excellent relationships with funding and referral sources as well as with the schools involved in the Norwalk/Stamford Educational Systems and other community agencies (i.e. probation, DCF, etc.).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, and a valid driver’s license. Candidate must have previous experience working within the behavioral health field, specific to adolescents and families within the school system. Knowledge of educational laws and services available within the public school system; must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working within the public educational system. Demonstrate a professional positive attitude and ability to engage clients effectively. Ability to effectively communicate, demonstrate team work and a commitment towards team excellence. Bilingual Case Coordinator

Description
The qualified candidate will be responsible for engaging program clients and their parents; conducting program orientations; facilitating group counseling sessions; monitoring clients’ treatment goals; collaborating with treatment team, referral source and other community based services; maintaining up to date client case record information; completing and maintaining all necessary documentation; knowledge of and adherence to agency policies and procedures and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, and a valid driver’s license. Case Aide

Bridgeport : Full-time

Description
This position is responsible for the well-being and safety of clients while assisting with and supervising client activities and facility.
Responsibilities
Qualified candidate will provide direct and indirect care/case management to the department of corrections clients. Direct services include developing appropriate relationships with clients; facilitate assigned educational groups and community meetings, routine bed checks, house rounds and documentation of client count. Indirect services include developing positive working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, referral sources and members of the clinical team. Attend all required staff meetings and trainings.

DUI Instructor

Description
DUI Counselors provide evaluations and education groups to clients who have been referred by the court due to the clients involvement with use of drugs/alcohol. Counselors will collaborate with client to develop, implement and revise service plan, maintain required documentation and collaborate with Program Director to provide and follow State requirements.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Must be comfortable working within a team, as well as, work independently. Must be a licensed or certified (CAC, CADC) or be eligible to be licensed or certified within one year of hire. DUI Education experience preferred. Administrative Assistant

Description
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating and managing client care services within the Adult Outpatient Clinic. Responsibilities include client/front office supervision, word processing duties, collection and documentation of client fees, implement and manage reimbursement issues involving self-pay clients and third party payers, record management, receiving/channeling phone calls among other office management tasks, while working closely with billing and clinical personnel.

Bachelors Degree in Human Services, or related field. Candidate will have two years of office administrative experience and demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Windows; clerical and computer skills. Intensive Outpatient Clinician

Description
The Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Clinician is responsible for providing direct and indirect intensive outpatient clinical services to individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance abuse and addiction problems, and/or co-occurring disorders. This position will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create an individualized recovery program for each client.
Responsibilities
This position will provide effective client supervision and counseling services both individual and group as well as facilitate treatment plans. This IOP Clinician will be responsible for file management as well as timely reporting. Participation in continuous quality improvement and team development initiatives to increase customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Master's degree in human services or a related field required. A valid LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LADC, through the Department of Public Health CT license is preferred. Certified Co-occurring Disorder Professional Certification a plus. Experience with the behavioral health field. A valid Driver's license required. Intake Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor

Description
Evaluate and assign new clients to the most appropriate level of care; manage the scheduling of clients to clinicians to maximize productivity; manage the scheduling for the psychiatrists; develop and maintain a small client caseload; perform effective client supervision; counseling services (individual and group); maintain current and appropriate file management; appropriate utilization of resources (manuals, coworkers and supervisors). Oversight of authorization for all new clients evaluated, utilization of billing system and appropriate monitoring of fee collection; insurance authorization and continued stay updates; provision of client information to billing specialist in a timely manner. Description
As a member of the treatment team, this position is responsible for the well being and safety of the clients while assisting with and supervising client activities and facility. Qualified candidate will provide direct and indirect care/case management to residential behavioral health and department of corrections clients. Direct services include developing appropriate therapeutic relationships with clients; facilitate assigned educational groups and community meetings, routine bed checks, house rounds and documentation of client count. Indirect services include developing positive working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, referral sources and members of the clinical team. Attend all required staff meeting and trainings. A flexible schedule is required to cover holidays, vacations, and illness.

A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, required. CPR and First-Aid certification, preferred, but not required. Must demonstrate an ability to exercise exceptional judgment and maintain satisfactory performance.

Clinician

Waterbury West : Full-time

Description
The purpose of the clinician is to provide direct and indirect clinical services to residential behavioral health clients.
Responsibilities
Direct service includes the twelve core functions of a substance abuse counselor as defined by CCB. This includes but is not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual, group and family counseling. Indirect service time includes supervision, staff meetings, residential operation management, telephone calls, treatment authorizations and all paperwork associated with client care. Clinicians are usually assigned a caseload that consists of 60% direct service time and 40% indirect service time.

Masters degree in human services or a related field preferred. Drug and alcohol certification is required or a plan to obtain certification.
